New Toyota Hilux Launched in Nepal at Rs 1.55 Crore; Check Price and Features

United Traders Syndicate, the authorised distributor of Toyota vehicles in Nepal, has launched the ninth-generation Toyota Hilux during the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026 at a special NAIMA starting price of Rs 1.55 Crore. 

The new Hiliux brings a redesigned exterior, updated cabin, improved technology and a more refined driving experience.  It has been developed around Toyota’s “Tough and Agile” design theme, giving the pickup a more assertive stance with sharper proportions and a muscular front-end design.

The Nepal-spec Hilux is powered by a 2.8-litre four-cylinder diesel engine producing 201 bhp and 500 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and is available with both two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive configurations depending on the variant.

The lineup comprises GX 4X2 AT, GX 4X4 AT and VX 4X4 AT variants, giving buyers the choice between a rear-wheel-drive setup for everyday use and four-wheel drive for more demanding terrain.

At the front, the new Hilux features slimmer LED headlights connected by a central bar carrying the TOYOTA name. The redesigned front end gives the pickup a wider and more substantial appearance, while the overall design retains the rugged character associated with the Hilux.

The new Hilux measures 5,320 mm in length, 1,855 mm in width and 1,815 mm in height, with a 3,085 mm wheelbase. It gets 17-inch alloy wheels and an 80-litre fuel tank, while six exterior colour options are available.

The Hilux continues with a double-wishbone front suspension and a leaf-spring rigid-axle setup at the rear, maintaining the pickup’s focus on durability and load-carrying capability.

The exterior also gets practical updates, including a new rear deck step and redesigned side steps that make accessing the cabin and cargo area easier.

Inside, the new Hilux takes design inspiration from Toyota’s latest SUVs, including the Land Cruiser. The cabin gets a horizontal dashboard layout with a 12.3-inch digital driver display and a 12.3-inch central touchscreen infotainment system. The infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while connected services through the MyToyota app allow users to access vehicle-related information remotely.

The new Hilux also gets seven airbags offered as standard along with a comprehensive suite of active and passive safety features.

With its redesigned exterior, 2.8-litre diesel engine, 500 Nm of torque, available 4WD system, updated cabin and expanded technology package, the new-generation Toyota Hilux brings one of the most significant updates yet to Toyota’s pickup offering in Nepal.
